The purpose of this EEO Public File Report (“Report”) is to comply with Section 73.2080 ( c) (6) of the FCC’s 2002 EEO Rule. This report has been prepared on behalf of the Station Employment Unit that is comprised of the following stations: KBSN AM & KDRM FM. And is required to be placed in the public inspection files of these stations and posted on their websites.

The FCC’s 2002 EEO Rule requires that this Report contain the following information:

1. A list of all full time vacancies filled by the Stations comprising the Station Employment Unit during the Applicable Period;

2. For each such vacancy, the recruitment source(s) utilized to fill the vacancy(including, if applicable, organizations entitled to notification pursuant to Section 73.208 ( c ) (1) (ii) of the new EEO Rule, which should be separately identified), identified by name, address, contact person and telephone number.

3. The recruitment source that referred the hiree for each full-time vacancy during the Applicable Period;

4. Data reflecting the total number of vacancies during the Applicable Period and the total number of interviewees referred by each recruitment source utilized in connection with such vacancies; and

5. A list and brief description of the initiatives undertaken pursuant to Section 73.2080 (c) (2) of the FCC Rules. For the purposes of this Report, a vacancy was deemed “filled” not when the offer was extended but when the hiree accepted the job offer. A person was deemed “interviewed” whether he or she was interviewed in person, over the telephone or by e-mail.

Intern Obimachi Abonyi worked in a variety of capacities at KBSN AM/KDRM FM from December 2020 through January 2021. Obimachi job shadowed and interned in broadcasting live remote broadcasts, worked in our sales department, and worked in our production department recording and producing commercials that aired on KBSNAM/KDRM FM.

KBSNAM/KDRM FM broadcasting scholarship was given out on May 18th 2021 to Olivia K. Mayo & Simon James Ribellia of Moses Lake High School. The KBSNAM/KDRM FM broadcasting scholarship is presented to a deserving Moses Lake High School graduating senior interested not only in radio broadcasting but any career that may be related in some way to the field.

WSAB held a Webinar at KBSN AM/KDRM FM on May 27th 2021 on EEO Program Form .presented by Matt McCormick and Frank Montero of Fletcher, Heald & Hildreth, PLC

KBSNAM/KDRMFM Business Expo 2021. Community members invited to this once a year event.

KBSNAM/KDRMFM showcased our stations advertising and employment opportunities and answered career question. General Manager Dale Roth emceed the event June 15th , 2021.

KBSNAM/KDRMFM gave a radio station tour on July 28th 2021, for the North Central Washington Peer Connection, which are a group of high school kids set to reach out to help their fellow students of same age dealing with home zoom schooling issues, and onset depression from the pandemic.
